How do we solve the growing division in America?
It starts with bridging the divide between rural and urban communities.
America has gone from being at its core a purple country — that moved to slightly deeper shades of red or blue from cycle to cycle. Now, we’re an ocean of deep red with bright blue dots in our urban centers. If we continue down this path the division and unrest in our country will only increase.
The problem? Too many of us are living in narrow media silos where we only hear one distorted version of the truth. This has been reinforced by politicians and organizations that have invested millions into communicating with a shrinking population of persuadable voters rather than trying to bridge the divide.
That’s where The Rural Path PAC (RP PAC) comes in. We’re working to break through media silos and showing that there is more that unites us than divides us.

RP PAC is centered around a core belief: there is more that unites us than divides us.
Political divisions have become worse year over year, but it’s not based on fundamental policy disagreement - it’s based on deepening partisan identity and self reinforcing media silos.
This is made worse by political spending. The more rural voters have moved to the right, the less Democratic campaigns and progressive organizations have invested in communicating with them. It’s become a self reinforcing cycle that has led to deepening political divisions.
Too many Democrats in Washington have given up on trying to talk to rural voters. In doing this they ignore the harsh reality – Democrats have no plausible path back to power without gaining the trust and support of rural voters.
That’s where RP PAC comes in.
We are working to help Democrats earn back trust with rural voters by showing that they understand and share rural values, and in contrast, the Republican agenda is devastating small towns and rural communities at the benefit of the wealthiest and powerful special interests.

The pool of potential voters available to candidates with a “D” next to their name has been shrinking year over year. If we do not reverse this trend, Democrats will be in a permanent minority. Nowhere have these changes been more prominent than with rural voters.
